See, previous old post below I am still having the exact same issue. Running a Elitebook X360 1030 G3 to the G2 230w docking station. I have 3x 1080p Acer screens (ED320QR S). What i have tried so far:
1) Front USB-C connect host Elitebook with the G2 Dock
2) 2x DP ports on the G2 Dock into the DP ports on the Acers
--> so now i have 3 monitors running without an issue, 1x on the Elitebook laptop and 2x Acers external
Now I tried to connect the third Acer using a USB-C (Thunderbolt compatible) to DP cable, from the G2 Dock
1) 1st tried back left USB-C port (with the SS & Display Port logo) into the Acer DP
2) 2nd tried the back right USB-C port (with the thunderbolt/lightning logo) into the Acer DP
For Both connection options Windows shows the 4th screen as deactivated in the display settings. When i try to activate the 4.monitor one of the 3 active monitors gets deactivated. So i end up again with 3 active screens but no chance to get all 3 external monitors + the laptop screen running.
Also tried to connect a HDMI on the laptop to HDMI on the deactivated acer, same results.
