Product: Z2 Mini G4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are experiencing tinny sound from Z2 Mini G4 workstations when running RGS (ZCentral Remote Boost). After extensive troubleshooting we have found the problem is the Synaptics (Conexant) audio driver. If we uninstall the driver and replace it with the Microsoft default HD Audio Driver the sound is perfect. Unfortunately, the default driver won't stick. Eventually, Windows replaces it back the Synaptics driver and the audio goes tinny again.

 

Question / Option 1. Can the Synaptics driver be fixed to sound good? If not...

Question / Option 2. How do we delete the Synaptics driver permanently.

 

FYI, I searched the community hear and found someone else asked this question last year but unfortunately there were not solutions offered.
