Spectre 15ch011dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

2018 model,

After a few hours the graphics will blend into each other- the desktop display will always 'bleed though'  anything currently up on the screen. It looks as though it wants to show 2 displays at once over each other.

Once this begins to occur, the display will soon start to flicker, or rather jitter. The touch screen will respond to start menu and other commands if you know where to hit the screen, but it becomes impossible to see a screen picture due to the speed of the flickering.

The flickering will continue in BIOS. Does NOT get hot, does get warm when multi-tasking- lots of browsers pages running, several Office 365 programs running. No gaming, usuallynetflix/amazon movie in the background.

Sometimes the flickering will stop (but the display image will show some bleed thru); just by repeated restarts.

Other times the computer must shut down for a period of time, 5 min - 1 hr for the flickering and the bleedthru to clear.

Despite running all night, the display is perfect on wake up. Flipping between tablet & laptop mode does not clear the flickering. Looks very much like the horizontal control has gone kablooey.

This 4k display is really good but my computer shop wants to know if there's a component that is malfunctioning or a reset to BIOS that's common before they just r & r parts or I spend too much on a new computer

Thanks
