I just ordered a Omen 15 Ryzen RTX 3060 which comes with multiple display connectors : a HDMi 2.0a, miniDisplayport and USB-C connectors. I'm looking to buy a Freesync or Gsync monitor for gaming. What display output connector should I use to bypass the onboard AMD GPU (i.e. have a direct connexion to he RTX 3060) **and** benefit from Freesync and Gsync technologies?
From what I read, it seems Displayport is the best choice. This laptop has Displayport over USB-C and that other miniDP connector. Would both of them support Freesync and bypass AMD gpu?
Note: Because Freesync monitors are cheaper and easier to find, I consider Freesync first.
Thanks,
Jay D.
