Product: HP Probook 445 g8
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I primarily use my notebook connected to AC power and want to extend battery life. On my old HP laptop you could just remove the battery and use the laptop as a Desktop replacement. This is not really possible with my new notebook. Opening the chassis every time the connect and disconnect the battery would be a pain.
So the logical conclusion would be to reduce maximum charging levels. I just dont understand how it works.
I set the BIOS settings to maximise my battery life and the laptop still charges to 100%.
And I also tried turning the Power Control setting on and off.
The settings worked but after the newest BIOS update it just doesnt want to work anymore.
