Victus D0028

Recently bought a Victus D0028 and installed Windows 11. I have the latest drivers and Windows Update is all good. However, the NVIDIA GPU is only being used if I plug in an external monitor via HDMI. If I'm only using the laptop by itself, the NVIDIA GPU is not used and games run in about 5 FPS.

Changing "Preferred garphics processor" in NVIDIA Control Panel does nothing. Going into the Windows graphics settings (System > Display > Graphics) doesn't help either.

Device Manager lists two options under "Display adapters". "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" and "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU".

How can I make my brand new laptop use the NVIDIA GPU?
