Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all so the laptop has been great until the past month or so - I noticed the X key and only the  X key will stop working for a moment until I either keep pressing it over and over or hold it down for a while.  After I do this it works fine until I stop for a while.

 

I have tried driver updates, cleaning it out (physically to check for anything stuck) but there seems to be nothing wrong in either area that I can tell and has just suddenly started up for no reason.

 

Any ideas? thank you (it works fine via an external keyboard)

 

Edit: I will add that I am extremely careful with my equipment and this has never been hit or damaged in any way.
