Hi,
I recently purchased an OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx and beside the network issue that I am about to explain there are no other issues whatsoever.
I have been having massive lag spikes. exactly every 30-32 seconds, lasting for 2600-2900 milliseconds. Usually my ping is around 19-28 ms except these every-30-seconds spikes which makes the gaming experience impossible.
I tried pinging the same "www.google.com" on a MacBook and another Microsoft surface connected to the same network from the same room and desk, and those do not experience any issues and the ping is steadily around 19-28 ms.
Sometimes I even see "timeouts" and "general failures" which again does not happens on any other computer connected to same network except this HP OMEN PC.
I tried killing cloud processes, auto updates, syncs, disabling location services, trying to update the driver (it already has the latest) but nothing has helped so far. All the evidence seem to be pointing toward the Realek RTL8822CE Adapter, which reading about its reviews, is happening to be a terrible network adapter
So I have 2 questions:
1. Can I replace the network card, and if yes, which model would be the best?
2. And will HP provide this new network card for me, or should I buy it myself, and if I do so would HP compensate me? Maybe I should mention that I purchase this PC in Germany.
Thank you and looking forward to some answers that would help me finally play some games!
