Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have had some issues with my laptop disconnecting from the internet randomly and then not giving me the option to turn it on again unless I reboot. It was very slow and so I decided to reset and erase all content. I need to install an updated malware protection Iv purchased too and I cannot do this without the internet, it only gives me Ethernet options?? What has happened please how can I restore this to use wifi?
