Laptop recently stopped working, and it was in a Windows 10 diagnostic mode. Windows was unable to correct anything, so I restarted the system. After that it failed to get past the HP flash screen - not sure what this is, just the HP logo and the spinning timer. This will just come on for a few seconds, go away and start over, and repeat endlessly.
Pressing F2 I got into the System Extensive Test and received the following result:
Processor Check: MODULE MISSING
Hard Drive SMART Check: PASSED
Hard Drive Short DST Check: FAILED
Failure ID: 64W3X0-7N9B1G-MFGJMG-60V103
Product ID: J9J41UA#ABA
It's an older laptop model, from 2015. If it's a hard drive I might replace it, and if so is there any info on how to open this thing without destroying it. It was the touch screen for my home flight sim.
Thanks everyone, Tom
