Wifi tile disappeared from my laptop.

The F12 airplane  mode is off ( which means the wireless is on),

In Device Manager under Network adapters ther eis only one Realtek PCIe GbE familry Controller... all looks good.

There are also several WAN Miniports all look good.

HPSupport Assistent didn't detect any issues. My laptop is connected to the broadband via the cable at the moment.

In Network diagnostics / Network connection, when I click on Change adapter settings  only my vodafone is listed... there is no Wifi listed there so I can disable/enable anything there.

In network diagnostics in HP Network Check, under Computer Information, the signal strength (not sure it if it related to wifi) says Unavailable

WIFi tile, after after selection the network/computer icon, is missing. I can only see Flight mode (grayed out, battery, accessibility and Focus Assist tiles are there... but wifi tile si missing) also in the taskbar setting there are not wifi bars ...

I don't have a physical button to switch on/off wifi (except for F12 flight mode, which I think does this job)...

It looks as if the wifi adapter wasn't available... missing.... faulty?

I don't know what else to check. The funny thing is that it was working fine in the morning... I left my laptop on (power cable wasn't connected) and when I came back after about 2 hours to be laptop... the wifi option was not available anymore...

All other wireless/wifi devices in my house work fine... including another HP laptop.

Please advise
