Microsoft Windows 11

I want to use the function keys without pressing the "fn" key as I've done on all the computers I've previously owned.  My new computer is an HP 27" all in one desktop with windows 11.  None of the suggestions I have read (Change the setting in BIOS, press the fn key and another key, such as esc, etc. work.  Those suggestions apparently worked on older machines.  HP support (chat and telephone) can't solve my problem but they offer a paid service which might.  That is disappointing.  Anyone know how I can solve this?
