HP Pavillion 14s
Microsoft Windows 11

I cannot reliably connect to any Wifi networks.   When I look at the Wifi networks available, none appear.  I have gone through numerous attempts to get the networks to show, without success.  All other wifi devices can find the network and are working properly (Amazon Echo, iPhone, iPads, other computers).

1) Internet, Network, and WiFi troubleshooters did not find problem except to say no wifi networks available (duh)

2) Made sure Wifi is on and showing it is on (another duh)

3) Made sure Airplane mode was not on ( a third duh)

3) Uninstalled and reinstalled network adapter drivers.   Computer reports latest drivers are installed.

4) Installed a separate WiFi USB adapter card, still would not show any WiFi networks (uninstalled it afterwards).

5) Ran the following commands using an administrator Command Prompt

Additional data...  a neighbor down the street, also with a new HP laptop and Windows 11, gets the message that no WiFi networks were found.  After turning off then on the WiFi adapter and rebooting the computer, she might be able to get the computer to reconnect, but not often.   Sounds like the problem is HP/Windows 11 related after an update that occurred three weeks ago.

   netsh winsock reset

   netsh int ip reset
   netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt
   ipconfig /release
   ipconfig /renew
   ipconfig /flushdns
restarted computer, no wifi networks shown

6) Verified all Windows 11 updates have been completed, even ran a 'sfc /scannow' from an administrators Command Promt, no issues

7) I disabled the power off option for the adapter, no change

😎Ethernet works fine

I'm at a wits end.  Nothing works

Additional data :  After trying the support activity on the HP site, I made sure all the updates recommended by HP had been done to the computer.  Still no help.  I took a cheappie USB WiFi adapter (Realtek based) and connected it.  Voila, now I can see all the networks and connect to them.  But using the internal MediaTek communications card, shows no networks found.  So it must be the internal MediaTek card; but I cannot figure out how to make it work.
