Today I checked for updates using the support assistant and it showed two new drivers
1) AMD High Definition Driver - sp138818 version 1.0.0.199
2) Realtek Wireless LAN Driver - sp139330 version 30.0.13044.0
I updated and noticed two problems
1) Screen flickering - I restarted my laptop and it stopped. I went further and played Asphalt 8 on the highest setting (game mode was enabled) and the game was virtually unplayable. Frames dropped and the screen froze in some instances.
2) Sudden lost of Wi-Fi connection - This happened while playing Asphalt 8 also.
I have since manually downloaded the previous drivers and applied them. I have not noticed the issues noted so far.
Question: Since I upgraded to Windows 11, why does the Support Assistant still say Windows 10 (as on the LAN driver update) in some of the updated pushed to me? This can be confusing and cause others like me to update the wrong software. Why would I need Windows 10 drivers if I already upgrade to Windows 11?
HELP?????
