Hello.
I recently bought a microphone, it worked fine on my phone and another laptop. But on my laptop (HP 15-R157NR), the microphone does not work, although it is visible connected, but without a signal.
I tried to install all the drivers, even reinstalled Windows, the privacy settings were OK, installed Linux ubuntu, cleaned the audio input / output (it is combined). The microphone didn't work anyway.
I already thought that maybe the microphone is the case and bought a new one. But it doesn't work either.
I don't know what the problem might be anymore. The headphones work fine (audio output), the internal microphone too.
Help please.

In the screenshot, I'm screaming, but only the internal microphone is responding.
