I'm running an HP Reverb G2 on a MSI Mainboard (PRO Z690-A) , that provides an USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps Type-C USB Port, where the VR-Headset worked fine since six Months until today. When I switched my PC on today the "Box" at the Headsets Cable stayed off, even after disconnecting and reconnecting the Power Cable to it. There where no USB connect oder disconnect Sounds from Windows. After checking all Cable Connections,
and the Headset still not working afterwards, I was sure my VR Headset Cable would be broken,
but then I tried to connect the Headset to another High Speed USB Port on my Mainboard (USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps Type-A with USB-Adapter). I immediately got the "USB-Connection Sound" from Windows, the Cable Box lit up, but unfortunately the WMR Portal Software gave me an Error, saying my USB Port would be too slow.
To test the USB-C Port where I usually attach my HP Reverb, I plugged in an external SSD with USB-C Cable to this Port, and it got immediately recognized by Windows and it worked flawlessly. So the USB-C Port should be OK.
In Short: I can use other Hardware on the High-Speed USB-C Port where I was used to plug in my Reverb G2 Headset. The Headset gets recognized on any other USB Port on my PC, but not on the fastest one, where I used to attach my Headset unitl today. All USB Ports where I tried the Headset are at least USB 3.2 Ports, but the WMR Software won't start the Headset because of an "USB too low" Error. So currently my Reverb G2 doesn't work at all on my PC.
All my GPU- und Windows Drivers are updated, Windows 11 is on cumulated Update 2022-10.
Meanwhie I completely uninstalled WMR Portal from Windows, and when I now connect the VR Headset to the PC Windows (on another USB 3.2 Port as usual) Windows runs a WMR compatibility Check, that fails because of missing USB 3 Ports. So I can't even reinstall the WMR Portal Software.
I can't notice any Problems with USB in the Windows Device Manager. But the Device for the HP Reverb G2 shows an Error "E_DEVICE_USB_SPEED_TOO_SLOW".
