In Allegro, a popular online store in Poland, which aggregates offers from many sellers, I recently bought a USB Flash Drive with a capacity of 2TB, allegedly produced by HP. The disk cost PLN 99.99, which corresponds to USD 23. Unfortunately, it turned out that the capacity of this flash disk is physically much smaller. Probably only 32GB because some files are written to disk with fake content (filled with 0xFF). I didn't have the patience to test writing to a whole disk.
On the packaging there is a product barcode 4712477112501.
Please tell me if HP has ever produced a flash disk with such a barcode? Your answer will help me settle the dispute with the store.
On the front side of the flash drive housing is engraved the HP logo, 2TB, USB 3.0.
On the back side of the flash drive housing is engraved the model name "v250w" which was in the past produced by HP but had a capacity of 2 to 32 GB (depending on the model).
On the reverse side of the package there is also a less significant marking IN-1412V1 which the seller gave as "manufacturer's model number".
I also read the parameters from the USBView Application:
