My HP ENVY Inspire 7220 All-In-One printer lost the network connection. Reconnecting to the network failed over and over. A power off / on cycle on both the printer and the wireless router did not bring back the connection.

 

So I connected the printer via USB and tried to reconfigure the wireless connection. I made sure that both 2.4GHz en 5 GHz networks are enabled, but when I run the Wireless Connection Wizard my 5GHz network is not in the list. The network itself works because my laptop and phone are connected to this same 5GHz network.

I have changed nothing in the router settings. The SSID is not hidden (it never was). Connecting the printer via the 2.4GHz network of the same router works however.

I changed the network settings a couple of times since then, so I cannot use the previous connection anymore, since it failed on that connecton.
