Product: Elitebook 850 G5

Hi there,

I am trying to connect my Elitebook 850 G5 running Windows 11 with a HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 with combo cable.

The display extension via dock works fine. However, USB and wired Ethernet connection is not working. This means the system doesn't mount connected USB mass storage sticks, nor does it show my external USB web cam. The laptop is always on Wifi and not switching to the plugged-in Ethernet cable.

I tested the dock with another HP laptop with all interfaces working as expected. So I assume the problem is the EliteBook. I tried several drivers and firmware upgrade of the dock, but the dock is not "discovered" by the update utility.

Has anyone successfully used the mentioned dock with the Elitebook 850 G5?
