I have performed a clean install of Windows 11 Professional on the HP ZBook Studio G5. While the installation finishes successfully, and I'm able to create a Windows account, it's not possible to reach the logon screen after rebooting the laptop. The lock screen with date & time is visible, but it cannot be dismissed.
Safe mode is working fine, but regular mode is not. I have repeated the procedure several times, with the same result. Note that I have not installed any software.
I believe the issue is related to Windows Hello, meaning that Windows 11 fails to use the built-in hardware in that laptop and hence fails to dismiss the lock screen.
Has anyone successfully installed Windows 11 on that model? HP lists it as compatible, but this is not my experience.
