HP Recommended

I have been away from my computers for 3 weeks.  Upon return when I turned it on I am getting a No Audio Device Installed error.

I use an HP "thunderbolt" for various HDMI and USB connections.

if I unplug the thunderbolt, the computer sees my  PC audio, when I plug it back in I get the error again.  I have tried updating and re-installing all drivers and updating, no solution.
