HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 scan function will not recognize computer. (I am on a Mac)
Cannot scan - when attempting to scan, and hit scan to computer mode, it does not recognize my computer. I have downloaded the driver, multiple times. As I go through the process it says essential printer software installed, but scan software not installed, so I "install". It says complete and offers a scan test page, when I select test page, it just spins and nothing happens, and I need to cancel / go back to get out. I attempted downloading firmware, and am unable. I have added, deleted the printer / scanner from system prefs multiple times. I have turned off the computer and printer multiple times. I have spent hours on this. The printer works just fine.
