Product: ZBook Fury 15.6 G8
Keyboard backlight was working properly until the driver update released in January 2024:
Details:
Description: HP Development Company, L.P. Keyboard driver update released in January 2024
Company: HP Inc.
Driver Manufacturer: HP Inc.
Driver Class: Other Hardware
Driver Model: Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard for HP Hotkey Support
Driver Provider: HP Development Company, L.P.
Version: 11.1.8.1
Version Date: 1/15/2024
Curiously enough, the driver version remained the same: 11.1.8.1
I guess the update may have been released to address Windows 11 issues and needs, yet I received it via Windows Update in a Workstation running Windows 10.
Entering BIOS environment shows backlight is working properly, and according to the timer set.
As HP Inc. is the driver manufacturer, I post this message to request assistance in solving the problem.
For the record, the usual routine of "uninstall & reinstall" has already been performed.
I look forward to the solution, as many other SysAdmins struggling with it right now.
Regards.
Chris
