Product: HP PhotoSmart 6520

I am diagnosing a printer for a friend. It's an HP PhotoSmart 6520. It won't print black when printing a document from my computer.

 

The cartridge is brand new.

 

I ran the "Clean Printhead" process. The "Print Quality Diagnostic" report printed the text in black, but the black color block in section 3 is blank.

 

I ran the "Align Printer" process.  The page printed only the cyan.

 

If I print a document from my laptop, it does not print black.

 

I printed a document using my Canon printer, then put it on the scanner and copied it. It did not print black.

 

I've been to about half a dozen different websites, including HP, and they all provide the same advice, all of which I've done already.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
