HP Recommended

i just bought a new hp tilt pen for my new hp laptop envy x360. as soon as i download the app "hp pen control" to my envy x360 laptop, it says that this app doesn't work for my computer. how is that possible? since i bought both devices of the same brand? why doesn't my laptop accept the hp pen control app?
