I’m having serious issues with my HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and suspect that an outdated BIOS might be the cause. Here are the details of my notebook:

  • Model: HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC

  • Product Number: A7D78EA#AB9

  • Current BIOS Version: F.35

  • Motherboard ID: 3566

  • Warranty Start Date: 2012 (now out of warranty)

Issues I’m Facing:

  1. Keyboard and Touchpad Stopped Working:
A while ago, the built-in keyboard and touchpad stopped functioning. I’ve been using an external mouse and keyboard since then.

  2. Internet Connectivity Problems:
I can connect to my home Wi-Fi network, but accessing the internet is almost impossible unless I repeatedly try to load pages in the browser.

  3. No Display on Startup:
Recently, the notebook started having display issues. When I turn it on, the screen remains completely black for about 20 minutes, even though the power LED is on and the cooler is running. Sometimes, it shuts down by itself without displaying anything.

What I’ve Tried:

  • Resetting the BIOS by removing the battery and holding the power button.

  • Cleaning the internals and checking connections (RAM, HD, etc.).

  • Testing with a different power adapter.

My Request:

Since my notebook is out of warranty, HP no longer provides BIOS updates for it. I believe updating the BIOS might resolve these issues. If anyone has the latest BIOS version for my model or knows where I can find it, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you in advance for your support!
