My HP OMEN 16 is having random black-screen crashes. I’ve done all the standard fixes, updated Windows, drivers, and BIOS. The crashes happen while gaming and sometimes at idle. I also changed the charger, but no luck. I ran HP UEFI hardware and component tests and everything checks out. The laptop isn’t overheating, CPU temps stay around 50–55 °C at idle and 75–80 °C while gaming. I have HWiNFO installed and consistently monitor thermals. Event Viewer shows only Kernel-Power 41 with no other errors. This has been happening for about eight months occasionally, and it has increased recently.
