Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I understand that your HP Sprocket is having Print Quality Issues.

I'd like to help.

I suggest you try updating the Printer Firmware.

  1. Make sure the printer is on and your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

  2. On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

  3. Tap the Menu icon, and then tap sprocket.

  4. Tap Printers, and then tap your printer in the list.

    The printer information screen displays.

  5. Look for a firmware upgrade.

    • If a firmware upgrade displays, tap Get Firmware Upgrade and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

    • If a firmware upgrade option does not display, the printer firmware is up-to-date. Continue to the next step.

  6. After upgrading the printer firmware, try to print.

You can also do a Printer Reset.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Locate the reset button near the charging port.

    Locating the reset button
  3. Gently insert the straight pin into the reset button access point, and then press the reset button for 3 seconds.

The printer resets and turns off.

  4. Turn on the printer.

If the issue persists please follow the instructions in Step 4 in this Link

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you. 🙂

I haven't tried troubleshooting yet as my sprocket is charging, but I just got it yesterday and I've tried printing out two photos which have both been incredibly dark... hopefully one of these solutions will work, I'd hate to use a ton of my photo paper on pictures that aren't a good quality

Hi,

as @KrazyToad is out of the office at the moment, I'm replying to you. I truly appreciate your efforts.

The steps suggested in the earlier post mainly help in fixing print quality relate issues with the HP Sprocket printer. However, if the issue persists then I recommend you to either use another set of paper for the sprocket or you could reach out to our HP phone support team to explore the hardware service options.

Hope this helps. Good luck! 🙂
