Sprocket 200

Hello,

I am having trouble printing with my HP Sprocket 200.  Every time I try to print, it says there is a paper feed error.  I have restarted the device, changed the paper, and basically everything else you can think of and the paper feed error keeps on appearing.  If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know! It will be greatly appreciated!

Hi @MIR2020,

I'd like to help with the sprocket issue-

During a print job, the Sprocket stops feeding photo paper, and a Paper Jammed message displays on the HP sprocket app. The Status Indicator turns red and blinks.

  1. Turn off the Sprocket, and then remove the paper cover.

  2. Remove any loose Sprocket photo paper from the input tray, and then make sure the photo paper is in good condition. Remove any severely bent, wrinkled, or torn photo paper from the stack.

       CAUTION:

Do not try to remove any jammed paper from inside the paper path. This can damage the paper path rollers.

  3. Replace the paper cover, and then turn on the Sprocket.

The Sprocket feeds the jammed paper through the output slot.

  4. Wait until the Sprocket is idle and silent, and then remove any photo paper fed through the output slot.

  5. Remove the paper cover, and then reload the Sprocket photo paper with the HP logos facing down.

  6. Replace the paper cover, and then resend the print job.

 Upgrade the Sprocket firmware

HP regularly releases firmware updates. Upgrading the Sprocket firmware might resolve the issue.

  1. Make sure the Sprocket is on and your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

  2. On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

  3. Tap the Menu icon , and then tap sprocket.

  4. Tap Manage Printers, make sure your Sprocket is selected, and then tap Printer Settings.

  5. Look for a firmware upgrade.

    • If a firmware upgrade displays, tap Get Firmware Upgrade and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

    • If a firmware upgrade option does not display, the firmware is up-to-date.

If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

 Reset the printer

If the printer does not turn on when you press the Power button, reset the printer to clear any errors.

  1. Remove the paper cover.

    Opening the paper cover

  2. Locate the Reset button.

    Locating the reset button

  3. With a paperclip or pin, press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds.

    The printer resets.

  4. Replace the paper cover, and then turn on the printer.

    • If the printer turns on, you do not need to continue troubleshooting. To avoid overheating the battery in the future, let the printer cool between print jobs and keep it in a cool, dry environment when you are not using it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
