EliteBook 1040 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our monitors (connected with DisplayPort to the USB-C docking station) do not wake up after put to sleep, when trying to resume work on the computer (which hasn't been powered off or sleeping/hibernating during the time)

Workaround is to unplugg the USB-C cable from the computer and plug it back in.

there are 2 things i would look at

1) make sure the dock's firmware is up to date...f.37 - https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-usb-c-docking-station/17032707/model/20092244

2) run hp image assistant (sp101503) - https://www8.hp.com/us/en/ads/clientmanagement/download.html and update all drivers, and bios

I work for HP. However, all opinions and comments are my own.

Did you ever find a solution for this?  We have the same issue with our Elitebooks connected through HP USB C-dock G4.  Only way to wake the laptop each morning is to unplug usb c cable or disconnect power from the dock.  All drivers and firmware have been updated.  Even installed drivers for monitors, which are HP VH27.

Thanks!

Thank for the reply.  Same here.  Updated all drivers, firmware, and changed power settings on monitors.  Still no luck.

I have the same problem with a G5 Dock. Need to replug every time to get the monitors to work again. It's a major nuisance - I'm 99% sure this is an issue with the dock firmware - please fix this asap!

Hello

do you know the firmware version of your USB-C Dock G5 ?

I had previously updated the G5 dock to the latest firmware, 1.0.8.0 Rev.A. The problem persists.
