Hello
I tried this recently having followed the upgrade notes to the letter (upgrade to 5.5, patch 5.5, pre-upgrade patch)
then when trying to load the v6 recovery disc I get "unable to load CMA-WINPE.iso - error 4096"
if I continue, the system boots seemingly normally back to installed version, but all usernames and passwords seemed to be erased. can't even use default admin logon.
anyone else tried this upgrade?
I am having to revert back to 5.4 (hopefully) with my orignal recovery disc

Sharps,
Did you burn the DVD yourself, or did you get it sent to you from Polycom? Because that error sounds like a bad disk. If you burned it yourself, then I would try burning it again, and make sure you finalize the disk after burning, as that can cause read problems for the CMA. If you requested it from Polycom, then I would submit another request. You may have been sent a faulty disk.

Hello
This was a disc obtained through the proper channels, via a link on the PRC - so a Polycom DVD fedex'd from Polycom USA
(with no access to any other CMA v6 firmware - there is as far as I know, no other way to obtain the ISO image, plus the recovery disc contains other tools such as embedded XP and Ghost in order to image the server)
I have requested another disc to be safe, and also logged this issue with Polycom. Awating a response as per the standard!
