why was my order canceled with no apparent explanation?

We are unable to accept your order at this time.

 

If you feel this order was declined in error, call *bleep* and reference the order number. We are available 10 AM to 10 PM ET weekdays and 10 AM to 1 PM ET Saturday

I also have a similar problem with a "We are unable to accept your order" message. 

 

Apparently I have no option but to walk away from the purchase and look for an alternative... Sales staff don't understand what's causing it. Could it be a problem with a hp.com profile? Is the product itself unavailable for some reason? In my case, I've confirmed it's not caused by a declined credit card. 

 

There are several threads with the same or similar problem on the forum and none of them have an answer posted.
