I thought I read a message from GarenT saying that this was fixed in the appropriate places. I looked all over the webpage, trying to find a place to sign in, including the bottom, and low and behold, in the bottom right corner, it said, "Signed In", yet I was unable to post.

 

I need help with an issue. I will not go into it here b/c I know it's not the place. I did change my username/user id/whatever it's called and my password, but not recently. I was hacked repeatedly on two different accounts, and two devices that I use to access the internet had to be restored to factory settings to get rid of the bad stuff. That is why I changed things. I still have topics open under the old id because they are still unsolved.

 

How do I get to be able to post? It was in the notebook operating system board, if that helps any.

Can you clarify where you are having login problems - on the forum or an HP customer support page.

Not Customer Support, but Consumer Support. Customer Support is handled by HP, to my understanding. Consumer Support is handled by consumers just like me. I was trying to leave a post on the Consumer Support Forum. My problem in posting is the system on the Consumer Support Forum keeps saying I need to login AGAIN, and provides a link to click on to go to login at, but the link just leads you right back to the same main boards page, saying I need to login AGAIN before I can post. The link isn't leading to the correct place or the login place on that page no longer exists because when I scroll down to the bottom of the page, it only gives me the option to LOGOUT, and that's not what I want to do. I want to Post so I can get an answer to my problem. I wouldn't be so tenacious except that I really believe this is an HP problem and not a Windows problem.

 

I don't understand who handles HP Support Forum, where I'm leaving this message,  but I'm looking at the sort of top of the page, just below the toolbar and empty space at the big black bar and in white it says HP Support Forum right now. If you can look into this matter, that's great!! I really need help with my HP laptop, it's not a Windows issue that I am aware of, and I need to get it solved!
