Re: Free Xbox 360

I'm seeing red right now.  I was in need of a new laptop so I ordered one from HP because i've always had good luck with their products.  I am a current student, I bought a qualifying dv7tq laptop, customized it and spent $1,100+ on it, but I purchased it on 5/20.  Then not even a week later they put out this promotion for the free xbox.  Now I can still qualify for the promotion (rep on the phone told be so), but it requires me refusing/cancelling the current order, waiting probably a week for them to FULLY refund the money to my account, re-ordering the laptop according to the promotional details, and then waiting another 3-4 weeks for them to rebuild the custom laptop and ship it from China.  How nonsensical.

I understand that in order for them to get credit from microsoft and get the $200 back, the xbox and the computer have to be ordered together and a promotional code needs to be given.  But at this point, if i'm going to have to wait another month to get a laptop, I'm prepared to just cancel the order and go buy a macbook @ the mall.  Is eating $200 really not worth an $1,100 sale?  I highly suggest someone from HP reaches out to me to rectifiy this matter before I just say forget this and buy a mac

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for Hewlett-Packard.
