Yes, I do have the same problem with the dm4 overheating. I have talked to HP about this and even had it repaired. But the only thing that the did was UPDATE THE BIOS! now i still feel the computer heating up and when I bring this to the Philippines, I'm very sure that it will shutdown again like it did the last time. HP is just buying time and giving crap until my warranty expires. I belive that this can be one of those faulty made computers where they miss calculated the amount of heatsink needed. Just like some other models that they have recalled in the pass.

 

I hope that you never experience what I have in the past with this laptop. My experience was so horrible that i almost threw my laptop off the window. I have 3 HP laptops and I'M NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER ANYMORE! 2 LAPTOPS ARE DOWN NOW!
