Dear All,
Is there any way to add custom buttons to Trio display?
Since the device is capable of restAPI communication, I thought I'd put a button on the interface and assign a custom function (like restAPI ) to it, so I could implement simple room control.
I have not found any reference to this in the cParameters or the Admin guide yet.
I would use the Trio as a peripheral only, without SfB or SIP registration.
Thanks,
Laszlo

Hello @olahlacko ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.
This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow-up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.
Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.
An EFK would be the only way that I am aware off

Hello Steffen,
Thank you for the EFK link, it's well detailed. I guess the EFK might work in my case, but originally I was thinking about a button on the main screen.
Sorry for the lack of information, at the moment I am just assessing the possibilities, there is no specific demand yet. As a simple example, it would be great to provide for the user a possibility to switch the lighting on and off from the Trio interface. By this way no additional control panel would be needed on the desk.
Thanks, Laszlo

Hello @olahlacko ,
There is no such option as an EFK is static aka you cannot enable/disable something with one single EFK.
The Trio 8800 and 8500 are end of development so there won't be any new features
From memory as well there is no Microbrowser either.

Hi Steffen,
Thanks for the clarification. You mentioned that 8800 and 8500 have no microbrowser.
Do I understand correctly that the microbrowser module is necessary to assign restAPI calls for EFKs?
Even though I started to test with 8800, but there is a C60 on the way.
Thanks,
Laszlo

Hello @olahlacko
I never tested EFK via REST API.
Only "normal" EFK funktion
