I have some IP331s on firmware 4.1.0.84097 and configure them through the web interface rather than using a provisioning server / config files.

Users are complaining that the handset volume resets to deafult settings after every call.

Knowledge base says this is a "feature" mandated by US Gov't  but can be overridden with a parameter entered in the sip.cfg file. However I dont use  any such file!

Is there a way to disable the handset volume reset through the web interface ? Cant see any reference to this

thanks

Tim

Hello Tim,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Have a look in the UCS 4.1.0 Admin Guide for the :

<volume/>

 Parameter.

Page 542 explains the separate possible values for voice.volume.persist.
