Can someone provide insight into the meaning of the "G" in front of the MPN?

 

I have attempted to research it and found some references to an OBI edition, but I am unsure if that is related to the part number or not. One possibility I have considered is that it could stand for Google Voice. However, I have only been able to find the part number mentioned in Poly Shipping Config updates from 2020. If anyone has additional information on the significance of the "G," I would greatly appreciate it.

The G prefix signifies that the item is a TAA compliant SKU.
