Polycom,
I have an intermittent issue with VVX 500 and VVX 600. So intermittently the phone has no audible inbound ringing but the LCD screen does show the incoming call and I am able to answer. Has anyone experienced this issue. I am running a Asteisk 1.8 server phone firmware is 5.2.0

Hello Shamrock,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Are these phones by any chance part of a Busy Lamp Field or similar ? Are you using special Ring Tones or SIP Headers ?
I suggest you replicate the issue and then check the log for the occurrence of :
0122121135|so |4|7475|soTonePlay: pcmChannelP is NULL
If the above appears it may be similar or the same as we currently have an internal case for. If this is the case please raise a Service Ticket via your Polycom reseller and quote VESC-4973 as you then may be able to get a Hotfix for this.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards

Hi,
I'm getting this error on 5 of my Polycom 550 phones and I was wondering if you could post that hotfix you were talking about or if you knew what is causing this error.
The phones don't make any noise when ringing but I can see the call coming in.
