Hi,
Has anyone had issues with the hookswitch on the VVX400 or similar model?
At first I thought it was a network issue as I am using it at my home office which has no ethernet, so I am using netgear powerline adapters.
However, it seems to be an issue with the hardware. For example, when I make a call and expect it to be on speaker, it will actually be on the handset that is in the cradle as the hookswitch does not recognize that it is hung up.
Then if I click the speaker button for speaker phone, and then click the speaker button again to hang up, it again reverts to the handset as it does not recognize that it is hung up.
I believe the hookswitch is laser, but I do not know how to go about cleaning it, nor can I find instructions anywhere.
If it cannot be cleaned, is there a replacement part?
Thanks!

Hello jpull,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
This sounds like an RMA so please contact your Polycom reseller as there is nothing an end user could repair.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
