The other day my speakers stopped working, I hooked them up to my phone and the work fine.  I have updated the drivers and checked all volume controls.  I did a hard reset and accessed the "BIOS" ;the speakers test fine when I do a components check.  I have tried everything even changing speakers.  I am at a loss.  I need music or podcasts because if I have to listen to myself much longer I will go crazy.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

@CRAIG75 -- that "headset jack" is a mechanical piece. Inserting the pin from a headset needs to physically move a flexible piece of metal, to "open" one circuit (the circuit that leads to the speakers) and "close" one circuit (the circuit that leads to the connector for your headset). If that tiny piece of metal is physically "bent", it no longer "switches" when you insert the pin.

Do your speakers work when plugged-in to the "headset" port, instead of the normal "audio-output" port?
