Good morning,
I own an HP Prodesk 400 G2 Mini. Inside is a motherboard with an H100M chipset and an I7 6700 processor. The RAM memory is DDR4.
I want to ask if anyone has experience or knows what the real supported ram size is?
In the documentation, I think it says 32 gb of ram. Crucial and similar sites also describe 32 GB of ram. The processor can support up to 64 GB of ram.
I take into account that at the time when it was tried, 2x 32 GB modules probably did not exist.
I also want to ask what is the required voltage? 1.2V?

Good morning:
The memory reported in the processor specs is 64 GB but that would be with 4 x 16 GB memory slots and your PC only has two.
You can run this command to see how much total memory your PC can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
The memory specs are DDR4-2133 CL15 1.2V memory but you can install DDR4-2400 CL17, DDR4-2666 CL19 or DDR4-3200 CL22 memory which will all run at 2133 MHz because that is as fast as your PC's processor can run the memory at.

Thanks a lot for the info and command for cmd. I didn't even know about that order. I'll try it as soon as I get to the PC. I still want to ask - today I will only put the I7 6700 there. The original processor is an Intel Pentium G4400T. I will replace the PSU with a more powerful 90W. Will I have to change the cooling somehow? Since this is the Mini version, I only saw one fan and heatsink (looks universal?)

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question regarding upgrading the processor and changing the 35W processor configuration to a 65W processor configuration.
I do know that on my Elitedesk 800 G3 35W DM with the i5-6500T, the 800 G3 DM 65W versions have a different top cover.
The entire top cover on the 65W model is vented and mine is solid.
I was actually thinking of buying a trashed 800 G3 DM 65W for $25.00 just for the vented cover but decided against it.
I decided to wait and get a used 800 G4 65W DM in the future.
Your PC may run too hot if the PC does not have a vented cover (and it probably doesn't).
Have you looked at the service manual?
Chapter 2, page 9 shows a secondary fan for the hard drive in the 65W 800 G2.
The HP MP9 that the service manual mentioned is a retail system.
Maybe you should just consider installing the i7-6700T.
I know it is not as powerful as the i7-6700, but it would require no modifications to your current PC including not having to buy a different power supply.
My 800 G3 runs fine with 32 GB of memory and the i5-6500T.
I'm also running W11 24H2 on it with no problem.
I used this video to upgrade the OS to W11.
How to install Windows 11 24H2 on Unsupported PC (Early Access) (youtube.com)
The W11 24H2 ISO file is now available to the public so you don't have to follow the part of the video regarding how to get the ISO file

Thank you for the link. After a peek, it seems to me that the additional fan is only for the EliteDesk model :(. Not much room for it in my mini model.
I originally wanted exactly the I7 6700T as you write. It would have saved me a bit more money, but unfortunately I'm from the Czech Republic where this processor is not sold at all. Companies mostly bought the weakest processors for office work. Only from eBay but shipping is from America where shipping costs too much money.
Thank you for your experience. W11 offered it to me and I already have it installed. Maximum ram and such a powerful processor I am dealing with because of programming when I will run android virtualization or W11 where I will test desktop applications.
