I have a windows 7 hp Compaq pro 6300mt core i5 desktop. When I switch it on it gives me this message "Non system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready" I tried checking my data cables and all are tight . How do I make my desk top boot, because of that message it's not booting up

. Thank you

Usually that message means that there is no operating system on the drive you are trying to boot from, or you have the SATA data cable to the hard drive plugged into the wrong SATA port.

The boot drive SATA port is Port 0.
