Hi:

This is a peer-to-peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP.

HP has no record of Windows product keys and will probably not provide you with a Windows product key.

You can contact HP customer service starting at the link below for confirmation.

Most of 800 G1 PC's came with a Windows 8.1 product key encrypted in the BIOS.

If your PC came with W7, it was probably with downgrade rights from W8.1 Professional to W7 Professional.

If I am correct in my assumption, you should be able to install Windows 8.1 for free as follows:

Download the plain Windows 8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below:

Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)

Use the free Rufus utility to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

Set up the Rufus utility exactly as you see it in the illustration for Windows installations.

If I am correct, Windows 8.1 should not ask for a product key and after it installs, you should have Windows 8.1 Pro on the PC and after you connect to the internet, it should be activated.
