The HP Performance Advisor software is primarily designed for use on HP workstations running Windows operating systems directly on the hardware, rather than within a virtual machine (VM) environment. Therefore, it may not be possible to run HP Performance Advisor directly on a Windows 10 Pro VM running on an HP z840 hypervisor server.

However, there are a few alternative options you can consider:

1. Native Installation: If feasible, you can install Windows 10 Pro directly on the HP z840 hardware instead of running it as a VM. This would allow you to utilize HP Performance Advisor as intended.

2. Remote Management: If you have remote management capabilities for the hypervisor server, you can access the HP Performance Advisor from the host operating system or management interface to gather information and manage the workstation's performance.

3. HP Support: Reach out to HP Support for guidance. They can provide specific information regarding the compatibility of HP Performance Advisor with virtualized environments or suggest alternative tools or methods to monitor and optimize the performance of your HP workstation running in a VM.

Remember to provide them with detailed information about your setup, including the hypervisor software being used and any specific requirements you have for performance monitoring or optimization.

Ultimately, the best course of action will depend on your specific needs and constraints. Consulting with HP Support will provide the most accurate and tailored guidance for your situation.
