A SMART failure means it is time to replace the hard drive NOW.. it is highly recommended you do so.

Thank you for the fast response. I only use this computer for the internet, i do not have any necessery data on the hard drive. Should i wait until it fails. or is there going to be any harm to the computer?

.....Still working great 2 months later, my pc is even faster now and runs less cpu usage, also very quiet now. It was definately the hard drive. ( I was a little nervouse when I heard it may be a motherboard issue on other threads, but it was not the case for me!!) no more BIO-HD8.

Here is an instructional article on how to replace a hard drive.
Does this HP article about ordering discs help?
This spec sheet tells you about the hard drive it has.
And finally, here is the upgrading and servicing guide.
I hope something here helps you.

Hi,
As an example, either of the Hard Drives below would be fine.
A good guide on replacing the HDD ( including a video overview ) can be found Here.
