Hi Paul-

Hopefully you can help me to solve a variation of the same issue.

The HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF I have was upgraded to Win 7 Enterprise, 64-bit. We're trying to use the serial port to communicate with an ADP Handpunch.

I've downloaded the software using the link you provided to korodani. I tried removing the AMT version and manually selecting the IMEI version but I haven't had any success getting it to install. The OS complains the hardware doesn't match the software I'm trying to use. I've also used the version currently posted on HP's site, Intel(R) AMT LMS_SOL for AMT 7.xx. This version did at least install, after removing AMT originally.

Are there any BIOS settings I need to adjust to get the serial port working? It's a bummer since this PC was purchased specifically because we needed a serial port and the one component we needed isn't working.

Any suggestions that might help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi:

I don't use the serial port. Just installed the drivers so there would be no unknown devices.

Since I don't use the serial port and I am not at my 8200 Elite CMT right now (which has basically the same BIOS as the 6200 Pro, I recommend you read the service manual to see what BIOS settings are available.  Chapter 2.

Have you tried the AMT driver from Intel's website?

Hi:

Try the XP driver directly from Realtek:

Accept the agreement. Download and install the 7th driver on the list (first one listed in green colored type).

Hi:

I don't know what to tell you.

Did you install the drivers in the recommended specific order?

1. Chipset

2. Graphics

3. Audio

4  Network?

While it doesn't list the the driver as necessary, you can try installing the MS UAA driver for HD Audio but you need to uninstall all audio drivers first before installing that.
