Barmek.

You must remove main battery and disconnect the RTC battery.

RTC is located under the keyboard.

The connecter is located under the spacebar.

Just tried it and it works.

Good luck.

Hey guys I'm having the same "power on password" issue except my laptop is a 6710b Laptop.  I've removed all the batteries including the CMOS battery and left it for a week and still no luck.  When I connected the power back it still had that Power On Password pop up.  I've also left it unplugged and held down the power button for 30+ seconds and connected power back up and still the same thing happens.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to reply with the code it gives to you.

Thanks for the quick reply Urbbs, it doesn't give me a code, it allows me 3 chances to try out a password and then it locks me out and just shows a sun looking icon with a "+" in the middle.
