I want to delete some of the bloatware on my new HP. Deleting the eBay shortcut is no problem, but deleting the path may be.
The file path contain: HP\shared\WizLink.exe”http//redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr……
One of the postings on the forum said after deleting WizLink they “had adverse affects”. Is it possible to keep WizLink but get rid of the redirect link?
None of the other Desktop shortcuts appear to use WizLink. How do I find out if another program uses it? Or should I just leave it alone?

I would get rid of of unwanted desktop shortcuts only and under Control Panel, Programs anything uneeded software can be uninstalled. I recommend leaving it as is.
I would check your startup programs using msconfig and uncheck uneeded startup items. Careful not to disable the important stuff.
Also I highly recommend that you don't disable or change services as that causes more harm then good.
Hope this helps.

additional bloatware found :: Priceline.com, will not show an uninstall entry from Add/Remove and checking Properties links directly back to WizLink as well.
I hope we can find out more about how deeply this WizLink might be rooted into our systems.. I do not want new things appearing in my menus and trouble removing features/apps/etc that I do not want on my system at all.
Have already had about enough of this with Win10 via adding several of it's apps back after I'd uninstalled them.
Skype being the main one that infuriated me without notice (or having made an account) to get unsolicited visibility and Contact Requests (ensuring to me, that I was indeed visible enough, without my knowledge or permission to even create a skype account, for people to request to be on my list).!
Serious stuff here.! It's not just bloat if it can invade your privacy and expose you to things you'd never intended to be either connected to or public on.
