As I understand you want information regarding upgrading memory on your HP Pavilion Desktop. Don't worry as I have a few steps recommendations which should you to resolve your concern,

I did review your post and here are the product specifications for your PC - Click here

Going through the Motherboard specifications, your PC supports only USB 2.0 in order to use USB 3.0 you would need to go ahead and replace the Motherboard.

Please find the details for Upgrading the Memory:

Memory upgrade information

  • Dual channel memory architecture

  • Four DDR3 DIMMs (240-pin) sockets

    • PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)

    • PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)

  • Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered

  • Supports 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB DDR3 DIMMs

  • Supports up to 16 GB on 64-bit systems

  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit PCs

*32-bit PCs cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.
